Tired of trying to figure out what that noisy customer is complaining about? Well here's a list of complains I put together and roughly what they mean. If I'm wrong with any info and you know otherwise, feel free to correct me ;D
The complains are written in random order and are no way whatsoever ranked in accordance to their nuisance levels. ;D
1) The waitstaff in here are not very polite.....
Meaning: You need to invest heavily in training. At least for the time being. Dependant on the average staff skill. Try to get it over 70%.
2) I'm famished & I certainly don't have all day to wait....
Meaning: Your customer has just cancelled their orders and are leaving the restaurant (and they DO NOT PAY what they drank or consumed) or are having their meals but with an angry 'red face' over their heads. Minus one smiley face from their customer satisfaction. 1 Smiley Face = 20% Rating
3) It takes some time for the food to arrive - I'm hungry!
Meaning: The customer has an intention of cancelling their orders and getting that 'angry face'. But they decide to give the restaurant a 'chance' first. A clock appears on top of their heads. By the next 10 or so minutes, if their food doesn't appear on the table, they'll give the complain stated above.
4) 'Staff Name' is impolite.
Meaning: Whichever staff is mentioned, that staff have yet to attain the expected level of the customer who made this complain. Again, this is related to staff training. Once a staff hits around 70% skill, this complain slowly dies down.
5) My dish is absolutely filthy!.....
Meaning: Uh oh. Not good. You have too many dirty dishes piling up in the kitchen. Roughly, the number of dirty dishes must not exceed the total number of seats in the restaurant. So what are you waiting for! Get another kitchen porter!
4) They should invest in some dishwashing liquid.....
Meaning: Same meaning like the above though the number of dirty dishes have dropped. If things don't get better, get a dishwashing machine. It helps with the time better when your porter is below 50% skill.
5) The dishes aren't clean....
Meaning: Things have improved and soon, there won't be any complains of the dishes. But always remmber to keep an eye on it.
6) I don't like my 'Food Name'
Meaning: The overall recipe rating for this dish is 10% below the expected rating of the customer, this is usually only when they customer is eating his/her favourite food. A 'green disgusted face' with a tongue sticking out will be displayed above this customer's head. There is nothing much that can be done here. Either assign a better chef to cook this recipe or just leave it alone. Your chef will eventually get better at cooking this recipe when they prepare more of it. But then again some customers have higher expectations than others, though their wallets are fatter too Or you could just wait for a customer giving you a better supplier and hopefully could improve that dish with the better ingredients.
7) I didn't know eating here would cost me a leg and...
Meaning: The price of your food is too high for the moderate food ratings. This is especially so when playing sandbox at the beginning. Just leave it as it is and as your restaurant's ratings increases, your customers won't mind paying more.
Hope this helps ;D
